Kevin has over 25 years investment and senior management experience gained with global investment management firms including AEGON, AXA Investment Managers, Russell Investments and was Managing Director of Merrion Investment Managers in Dublin from 2004 – 2009.
He has an MA (Honours) in English from Aberdeen University and an MSc in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
He co-founded Midmar Capital LLP in 2010 initially as a stand-alone hedge fund manager running an award winning pan-European long short equity strategy. He subsequently bought out the other founding partners and pivoted the business to become one of the UK’s leading regulatory incubators with an emphasis on start-up investment firms focused on technology, sustainability and positive social impact.
During this time, Midmar has supported the launch of around 30 institutional investment funds which have invested in over 500 start-up firms.
